Get to Know Me…
Jessica Rios-Flores, LCSW-R
I empower women and the LGBTQIA+ community through guidance, support, kindness and compassion. My goal is to help you build resilience, heal from trauma, navigate through grief, unlock your strengths and ultimately reach YOUR goals. I have over 20 years of experience in the social work field with over 16 years specializing in the mental health field. I am an advocate for social justice and reducing the stigmatization of mental health.
I opened up a fully virtual mental health group practice to create accessibility to mental health services. WomenMix was intentionally created to empower women and the LGBTQIA+ community. I mixed a blend of urban therapists and other women and LGBQTQIA+ individuals who share a common goal of healing!

Like an Elephant…
We Persevere
Elephants represent strength, loyalty, community, wisdom and unity. They are considered sacred animals with great spiritual importance. Studies have shown elephants are bright, strong, playful (this is so me – silly), and highly social. I felt inspired to choose an elephant for the imagery in my logo for my mental health practice because they remind me of the community I serve. My clients are on a journey to healing and discovering their inner strengths. As a psychotherapist, I am highly invested in my clients who are loyal to their journey and I am committed to every one of you. In addition, elephants have a deep connection with their past and families. The deep connection is the therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients. I chose a gold elephant because it reminds me of a sunflower and it also represents understanding and enlightenment, a place I hope all my clients will achieve.

If you’re looking for therapy outside of my specialty, here are a few recommendations for other providers that may be a better fit.
